Josh and I went to the local park/lake today to feed the ducks. I particularly enjoyed throwing the bird seed on the mud, mostly because of how the ducks churned up the bank, covering themselves and the ducks nearest them in large gobs of it. They also made funny noises stomping around in the goo, slurping it up and spitting it out again, searching for those seeds that went missing in action. I heartly enjoyed myself while Josh had them coming up onto the pier and eating out of his hand. At some point I guess I must have moved too fast to get more seeds, because the next thing I knew, every duck within seed throwing radius took off into the air, flapping franticly. Including my little horde of mud covered combatants. There were so many startled ducks in the air that my hair actually lifted away from my face and my unsuspecting Josh and I were suddenly covered in mud from a hundred little flapping bodies. Luckly we both thought it was pretty funny, I'm sure the ducks thought so too. I can just see them... "ready guys? 1...2...3...now!" Then we had to run home to pee on account of the formidable "Venti" sized coffee and chai teas we had consumed.
